Join PYC as we cruise down to Gig Harbor. We are now into fall and between Halloween and Turkey and will enjoy a weekend at Arabella’s Landing. This is a weekend of Football!!
(We’ve secured the room for Fri night and Sat so we’ll be dry and warm!). Friday will be Seahawk gear in the Net Shed at top of the dock. Wear your Hawk Colors and bring an appetizer and BYOB. Saturday is on your own. Gig Harbor is a super town to walk, explore, shop, & eat. Saturday is the Downtown Art Walk and there is a great History and Maritime Museum. You can walk to all and even Heritage Distillery tasting room. Lots of restaurants are close at hand. We’ll gather at 5 back in Net Shed for dinner. Tonight is your team night! Wear your colors from High School. College, or a favorite NFL!! Sloppy Joes will be provided and you’ll be assigned a fixing to complete the meal. We hear there may even some “football pools” to enter!!
Sunday will be a light breakfast on the dock to grab before we all head home.
Be sure to make your own reservations at Arabella’s 253-851-1793 and sign up online. Drive-ins are welcome. All need to give us a head count. Hope to see you there. Be ready to cheer on your team! Tom and Luanne Croker and Al and Mary Harader.

2018 Lighted Ships Parade Saturday, December 15, 2018 This year marks the 49th Anniversary of the Poulsbo Yacht Club Lighted Ships Parade. Please consider decorating your boat and being a part of this wonderful event that has become a holiday tradition within our community. If you would like to participate please Email Bill Whiteley at: bill3@whiteley.us to sign up! We continue to emphasize safety, so please sign up early so we can get you the “BOAT LIGHTING AND COURSE SAFETY HANDOUT.” In the past, we have split the route into two nights, and included Port Madison. However we started a new tradition last year and reorganized the event into a single evening. The route will be: Starting at the PYC Marina at 5:00 pm, we will proceed directly to downtown Poulsbo. Then we head south, following the west side of Liberty Bay, to Keyport at about 5:50pm. Next we cross to Manzanita Bay, then up the west side of Bainbridge Island through Agate Pass to the Suquamish dock at about 7:40 pm. We return back down the west side of Agate Pass to Point Bolin, then north to Lemolo and the east side of Liberty Bay, ending at the Liberty Bay Marina at approximately 9:15 pm. After the parade, when we return to the PYC Marina, we will gather at the Clubhouse to present the awards, have some mulled wine, and share the leftover snacks from our boats. As usual, there are several people that we need to recognize that are key to the success of this event: Santa Claus will be played by Larry Harper and the Voice of Santa will be Randy Linamen. The Santa Boat will be The O’Morchoe’s Majestic Lady, and leading the way as the Rudolph boat will be the Brooke’s Overexposure. If you know of anyone who wants a greeting from Santa, ask them to email Santa at santa@poulsboyc.org Feel free to contact Bill Whiteley at 360-440-8082 if you have any questions. |
